hope things aren't too rough on you...i am looking forward to friday so that i can see you!
I am a friend of Arlene's and she told me about the loss of your cat. I too lost a cat to cancer 2 1/2 years ago and I still miss her. Miss PittyPatt was an 11 year old Maine Coon who traveled with us everywhere on our motor home. She started losing weight and I found she had a cancer on her kidney. Dr. Newman removed it, a few weeks later she came down with a blood disease and then the cancer moved into her bladder and I had to have her put down. It was the first time in my ENTIRE life I have ever had to do that. All my other cats died of natural causes: old age, left home, hit by car etc. This really affected me and I still have bad moments about it. So I really sympathize with your loss and know EXACTLY how you feel.
